This is a new little series I’m trying out; it’s all about the products that’ve been on my radar (or my wishlist…but radar sounds so much more intense and professional).
The first of these products is the e.l.f. Studio Lip Exfoliator. It looks like a lipstick gone wrong – like maybe someone accidentally mixed in some sand and/or excrement. But nope, that’s deliberate. I want to give this a whirl because it seems like a convenient upgrade from messy pots of sugary scrubs.
Next up is the NYX Butter Gloss in ‘Tiramisu’. Everyone has been raving about this formula. I’ve never tried a NYX lip product, but the whole range gets a lot of attention. This gloss is supposed to be hydrating, which is why I want to give it a try.
TheBalm Cindy-Lou Manizer is probably the product I’m most excited about. I already have and love Mary-Lou and Betty-Lou. Cindy-Lou is supposed to be a peachy (rose?!) gold. It looks beautiful in the pan!
It’s time for a bad beauty blogger confession: I’ve never tried the MAC 217 brush. I have three of its Sigma counterpart, the E25, which I use all the time for applying and blending crease colour. However, the 217 appears to be smaller and less fluffy than the E25, which might lead to a more precise application (especially since I have smaller eyes). I’ve been considering picking up this classic brush, but the price has deterred me. Maybe February’ll be the month I bite the bullet?
Virtually since their release, I’ve been hearing amazing things about the Makeup Geek Eyeshadows. I’ve chosen two shades, Cosmopolitan and Corrupt, and they seem right up my alley. Cosmopolitan is supposed to be a dupe for MAC’s Expensive Pink, while Corrupt is apparently the most pigmented black eyeshadow on the market. (And they’re only $6 each!)
Finally, the Clinique Take the Day Off Cleansing Balm. I’ve heard amazing things about cleansing balms, but I’m not quite ready to shell out $50+ on the classic Emma Hardie one. This Clinique one seems basic but effective. I’m hoping to catch the Clinique gift with purchase at The Bay in February!
