On Savvyist

A few months ago, a website called Savvyist reached out to me. They’re a beauty community full of swatches, product reviews, makeup looks and challenges (which we’ll get to in a minute!), but the crown jewel of the site is their Guru Match Tool. I didn’t post about it right away because it has taken me a while to find my way around and decide that I really do like it.

The Guru Match Tool allows you to find bloggers who look like you. You input your information – skin color, skin type, eye colour, hair colour, eye shape – and receive a list of bloggers who most ressemble you. This is useful because their product recommendations are more likely to work for you. Through this tool, I have discovered a whole bunch of bloggers with similar colouring who have in turn recommended amazing lipstick, blush, and eyeshadow shades that I had never even thought of trying.

Another fun Savvyist feature is their biweekly makeup challenges. Winners have a chance to win gift cards for various makeup retailers. After watching and voting in these challenges for a little while, I’ve finally decided to enter one with the look from this blog post. Although I didn’t like how that lip product wore, I loved the shade and how it looked!

If you’d like to vote for me, head over to Savvyist, sign up, and give me a heart! The beauty of it is that you don’t have to vote just once, so vote for the other looks you like while you’re there. I daresay that my red lip is on the tame side!

  • Wow, thank you so much for writing about the site Amanda!! I didn’t realize you had been poking around for a while, and I’m so glad you ended up liking it. Even though this was your first challenge submission, I recognized you from making the Beauty Guru Match Tool. Because of it, I recognize all these faces and feel like I know them, even though I actually don’t, lol.

If you ever have any thoughts of how Savvyist can be made better, please let me know! 😀
