My Favourite YouTubers
Needless to say, YouTube is an amazing place to learn about makeup. It’s taught me pretty much everything I know about it, and introduces me to new products and techniques every day. I figured I would share some of my favourite beauty and fashion vloggers, as well as some fun entertainment vloggers as a bonus at the end.
Tanya Burr is amazing. She’s so sweet, funny, and knowledgeable about beauty and fashion. She’s so flippin’ fun to watch! She’s also really honest about her struggles with anxiety, which I really appreciate.
Sarah Belle‘s style is really classic and cool. She’s really into chic, classic pieces and gives me lots of style inspiration.
Lo Bosworth: When I found out she was doing YouTube videos, I flipped. She was always my favourite person on Laguna Beach and The Hills – even more than Lauren Conrad. She films and edits her videos herself in her apartment in New York. They range from beauty to fashion to cooking tutorials, because she’s a culinary school student!
FleurDeForce is another person who’s just really great to watch. She does beauty and fashion videos, but I really love her hauls.
LeighannSays is definitely one of my favourite YouTubers. I look forward to her videos like nobody’s business. She’s hilarious, honest, and loves fake lashes.
ShamelessMaya: I discovered Maya while looking for naturally-curly-haired YouTubers. She gives great tips on how to live a ‘shameless’ life (ie conquering fear and anxiety), style curly hair, and talks tech, beauty and fashion.
EssieButton is a Canadian living in England. She’s loud, honest, and so so funny. Her dog Reggie and her boyfriend Aslan make frequent appearances in her videos and social media, and they’re both so fun!
Lily Pebbles is one of my absolute favourites. I feel like her makeup style and mine are quite similar – a focus on eyeshadow, with neutrals and bronzes being the preference. I really relate to her.
ViviannaDoesMakeup is friends with Lily Pebbles. Their styles are quite similar, too. Anna is louder, though, and a bit bubblier.
itsgrace, formerly DailyGrace, makes videos every day. I watch them every day and die laughing every day. She’s so funny.
Jenna Marbles is another Internet classic, I feel. I live for Sexual Wednesday/Thursday.
Toby Turner has a lot of different channels on YouTube. I LOVE watching him play Amnesia, Slender, and The Walking Dead on his let’s play. I also love his weird songs (did you know that cashews come from a fruit?) and I cannot play Skyrim or Assassin’s Creed without singing the corresponding literal trailers.
