Melt Rust Stack Review – Swatches on Dark Skin

The Melt Rust Stack is a perpetually sold out social media darling. It is exactly what it says on the tin: five rust-toned single eyeshadows that stack together magnetically. In terms of both colouring and formula, it also happens to be what dreams are made of.

The shadows themselves are soft and pigmented. They blend beautifully, and I especially love the shade selection – it makes for a cohesive look on its own or combined with other palettes. What I find most remarkable, though, is that they crease on me less than other shadows do.

Because they perform so well on me, I reach for this pretty much every time I wear eyeshadow – at the very least to set my primer with, but often to supplement some of my other favourite palettes like the Too Faced Sweet Peach.

Despite my love for this palette (does it classify as a palette?), I don’t know that I’ll be buying others anytime soon. My beef with it is twofold. It is pretty pricey: it retails for $75CAD-ish, and between shipping and the customs fees I got hit with, it brought it close to $100. Considering that full-size Viseart palettes retail for $100-ish and you get more shades, I don’t know that it’s worth it, you guys.
