It’s favourites time again! Obligatory comment about not believing that March is already done: I can’t believe how fast March flew by! Really though, wasn’t it just New Year’s Eve, and we’re already in April? Creepy.
Anyhow, this month I discovered a lot of cool products. Here, let me ramble about them for a bit.
Bioré Self Heating One Minute Mask has worked its way into my mask rotation. I’ve been using it weekly since I got it a few weeks ago, and I’m really loving it. It’s a great way to keep my nose pores – which have a tendency to get all blocked up – clear. Plus, the warming and then tingling just feels so nice on my face.
Formula X for Sephora Base Coat has changed my nail-painting experience. My old base coat was so lumpy and unspreadable that painting my nails had become a pretty frustrating experience. I finally picked this up – it goes on smooth and dries sticky, which gives the polish something to grip onto and makes it last a lot longer.
My homemade whipped shea butter has become my new favourite body moisturizer. My skin has been suuuuper dry because winter, and it has really helped to soothe some of the itching and flakiness.
Tanya Burr’s lip gloss formula is so nice that, this past month, I picked up another shade with a promo code I had. ‘Aurora’ is a browny-pink that is neutral but still gives a pop of colour. It feels more like wearing lip balm than lip gloss, so I’ve worn it pretty much every day this month.
Benefit’s The POREfessional Primer is one of those cult classic products that, until now, I hadn’t really given a chance. I’ve been using a sample of it and it’s really great at smoothing out the texture of my skin – especially those pesky nose pores.
Finally, Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blush in ‘Dim Infusion’ has been my go-to blush of March. I have literally worn it every day I’ve worn makeup this month. It’s so subtle that I’ve even worn it on some of my ‘no-makeup’ days, where I’ve just worn powder. It just gives my skin some healthy colour. The formula is so smooth and buildable; if these blushes weren’t $45 each, I’d want them all!
