Maybe I’m alone on this, but it takes me a really long time to decide that I like a body, shower, or hair product, whereas I pretty much know whether I like a makeup product right away. These are the products I’ve added to my shower routine in the past few months that I have just decided that I actually like.
L’Occitane Cleansing And Softening Shower Oil With Almond Oil // This is a super weird product. It’s thick oil that emulsifies when it comes in contact with water. It cleanses and rinses clean, but leaves skin moisturized and lightly scented with a floral, almond-y scent. It’s great for chapped winter skin, and I imagine I won’t need to use an out-of-shower lotion with it in the summer.
Shea Moisture Raw Shea Butter Deep Treatment Masque // I’m a bit of a hair mask/deep conditioner skeptic, because I find that the results don’t usually last, but this has converted me. I try to use it every time I wash my hair, and if not, at least once a week. It’s a super thick, super rich moisturizing masque, and I can feel the difference in my hair when I use it. It makes my hair feel stronger and more moisturized, look shinier. What’s more, this feeling tends to last until the next time I wash my hair, especially at my ends. It also smells really lovely!
Lush Rose Jam Shower Gel // This was a limited edition Christmas item, and I wish I had purchased a few more. It smells just like Ro’s Argan Body Conditioner, a favourite of mine: it’s a delicious rose scent with just enough citrus and vanilla to keep it from smelling too granny-ish. If I layer the two, it’s absolutely heavenly. I will be so sad when this shower gel is done, but I just can’t stop using it – it’s my favourite right now!
