Essie Bahama Mama

Essie Bahama Mama

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but sometimes, a product is so horrendously bad that I feel like it is my duty as a blogger to let my readers know about it. I’ve felt this way about a few products in the past. This goes beyond disappointment – I thought this was just plain bad.

The polish is Essie Bahama Mama. I’d seen it around for a while, and was really feelin’ the Fall vibes when I bought it. Unfortunately, it really didn’t pan out for me. I painted my nails with this pretty deep, warm violet on a Sunday night. By Monday morning around 9am, it had chipped.

I didn’t do anything out of the ordinary. I used my usual Sephora Formula X Base Coat and CND Vinylux Top Coat.

And it wasn’t like I washed 1000 dishes or anything – probably some light typing, packing a lunch, the usual stuff. I never get anything beyond light tip wear, especially not in the first 12 hours.

These are just my experiences, but I’d steer clear of this polish if I could go back in time knowing what I know now!
